When we talk about 5 G cellular network, we are talking about the 5th Generation. The other Generations are 2G, 3G, and 4G which we use right now.
You probably own a cellphone and you know that the download speed of a website with the 4G cellular network is really fast compared to the 2nd and 3rd generation.
5G is being sold to us as a convenient network connection with a download speed that surpasses all previous generations. We will be able to download a movie in seconds and not minutes. Don’t you want that? Websites will download in a flash on your computer and doctors will be able to communicate basically live even though they may be 1000’s of miles away from each other.
We see more and more advertisement about 5G on TV from different internet providers such as Spectrum, AT&T. Are we being prepared for the “benefits” that 5G can bring us? Are we being prepared for the time saving, money saving benefits of 5G?
Another benefit of 5G is that we will have no drop off of a cellphone call when we drive down the road. And driverless cars could be rolled out. Who wants to sit in a car without a driver and the wifi signal drops off ever so often? Imagine how many car accidents would occur on the roads.
5G is being rolled out as we speak. Several cities in the USA have been chosen for 5G testing. For example, Houston, TX, Raleigh, NC, Atlanta, GA, and Washington, DC.
Initially, we will not only have 5G, but 3G, 4G on top of 5G.
Negative Healthy Implications
While 2, 3, 4 G has been tested on mice and the health implications are documented, 5 G has not been tested. In fact, we know that electromagnetic hypersensitivity is real and people suffer many symptoms from Wi-Fi exposure. I created a video on the symptoms of electromagnetic frequency exposure. When we talk about electromagnetic hypersensitivity it sounds like only those people are reacting strongly to the EMF exposure. Actually, everyone who has a cellphone, a router in their house, a smart meter, or a wireless phone will suffer from the effects that EMFs. Those biological effects are caused on a cellular and mitochondrial level. Not everyone will get sick right away, or needs to live in the woods away from any EMF exposure. The effects of EMFs accumulate over time and disrupt the bodies function such as reduced energy production and an increase in the production of free radicals.
Back to 5G
We need to talk a little bit about the Frequencies that are used for 5G.
As you know 5G will be wireless (hopefully not and the tech industry decides to use fiber optics to deliver 5G, but we will have to wait and see what happens in this regard).
So, for now, 5G will be wireless and carries information through electromagnetic radio spectrum. What that means is that the range of the radio wave frequencies from 3 kilohertz to 300 gigahertz are available. Every sections of the spectrum has its own frequency and also its own frequency name such as
Extremely low frequency (ELF) or
Low frequency (LF).
And then there is the Ultra Low Frequency (ULF), which is used for 5G and ranges from 300 MHz to 3GHz. Right now Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and cordless phones use ULFs.
The higher the frequency, the faster the speed of the wave but the distance the wave travels will be shorter.
In other words, radio waves with high frequencies have a short wavelength. A 300 GHz high frequency radio wave has a wavelength of 1 mm while a low frequency radio wave of 30Hz has a wavelength of about 6000 km.
Different mobile service provider will use different parts of the 5G spectrum in regard to the frequencies that are available.
Most likely 5G will be rolled out first in the lower frequency ranges from 400 MHz to 6GHz which is called the FR1 (Frequency Range 1)
Later on higher frequency ranges will be available as FR2 from 24 to 39 GHz
This is good news because with the Cornet ED-88T Plus and the Trifield TF2 we can measure electromagnetic radiation from 100 MHz up to 8 GHz.
That means that you will be able to detect the initial use of lower frequency ranges of the 5G electromagnetic radiation with your Cornet and Trifield.
If you watched my other videos on EMFs, you will have learned that Distance is your Friend / that the EMF exposure drops off with certain distances.
How to use EMF measurements for your advantage
A couple of weeks ago I found a brand new cellphone tower behind a Wal-Mart. Since I carried my Cornet with me, I parked way in the back of the parking lot to measure the radio frequency from a distance. The reading was very high. I started driving toward the Wal-Mart building with the cellphone tower behind it to see if the EMF measurement would change. When I was very close to the Wal-Mart building the reading all of sudden dropped into the yellow zone. Which is still high but at least it wasn’t in the red zone.
The next time I went to this particular Wal-Mart I parked as close to the building as possible to avoid the extremely high EMF exposure coming from the cellphone tower.

If you are trying to find out which areas in your environment have low EMF exposure, you need an electrosmog meter. Unfortunately, EMFs are invisible and they are silent. BUT, with the electrosmog meter you can make them visible and audible and use the information to stay away from extreme high EMF levels.
By the way, inside Wal-Mart, the readings are in the yellow zone as well, not just outside. They offer free Wi-Fi and I measured my EMF exposure through the whole store. In some spots the Cornet RF reading spikes into the red zone, very high, and in some it is even in the green zone. But in general, I walked the whole time in a high EMF environment.
